Karlshamn expands investment for the future and takes a new step - the South East Link is to be built, Port of Karlshamn increases in volumes and it is bubbling in Blekinge!

All in all, Karlshamn and Blekinge are pointed out from several sides as an incredibly important cog from different perspectives. Partly the Port of Karlshamn as a deep port, but also the municipality of Karlshamn together with several other municipalities based on their conditions to create new investments, where, among other things, the Stilleryd area in Karlshamn is an extra important piece of the puzzle. The green transition places new demands on both municipalities and businesses, and today we see an increased need and demand in discussions around offshore operations, port access, railways, land, the Southeast Link and other new investments. This creates a future focus for Karlshamn.

The cooperation around the Southeast Link is a clear part of creating future opportunities for the municipality, the port and the whole of Blekinge. From 1 October, the establishment manager's assignment within Karlshamn municipality will be expanded to also include a business development assignment within the Port of Karlshamn. By bringing these assignments together, many synergies are created, which in the long run benefits the whole of Karlshamn and Blekinge.

The working time in the new assignment will be distributed between a more focused investment promotion assignment within the municipality and a business development assignment within the Port of Karlshamn, where the municipal group now focuses on external relations, marketing and business development.
