New CEO appointed for Port of Karlshamn

Ny VD utsedd för Karlshamns Hamn AB

Caroline Säfström is Port of Karlshamns new CEO. She takes office on 1 October and will then succeed Mats Olsson, who has been the port's CEO since 2011 and who has decided to retire. Caroline Säfström is 39 years old, civil engineer and most recently came from a job at Affärsverken AB in Karlskrona.

- We are happy to have recruited Caroline Säfström as the new CEO of the company, says board chairman Mats Olausson. We are convinced that she can take over the baton for the management of the business in a good way after Mats Olsson. The Port of Karlshamn runs a successful business and the company has, during Mats Olsson's time, made large investments that give us good opportunities for continued development as an important logistics point in the southern Baltic Sea area.
-The decision to expand the South East Link railway reinforces the port's importance regionally, nationally and internationally. We are very positive about the port's long-term development opportunities, says Mats Olausson.

- I am passionate about driving future-proof, efficient infrastructure together with committed employees and generating optimal value for customers. I look forward to the assignment and am humbled by the task, says Caroline Säfström.

The Port of Karlshamn is one of the country's 7-8 largest ports and belongs to the country's most important future logistics areas.
