Status and planning for the Project per October 2021

The expansion of the ferry port in Port of Karlshamn is in the final phase. The new 3:rd RoRo-berth is now completed which means that the last part of the project was able to start. This includes dreging at RoRo-berth 2 and concrete work at the sea bed. Completion is estimated at the end of 2021. The links-span at RoRo 2 is already widened. Now Port of Karlshamn are ready to accomodate for the new DFDS RoPax-vessels with a LOA of 230 meters. RoRo-berth 2 will also be able to receive 230 long vessels.The expansion project which started in spring 2020 included shortening of a wavebreaker, work on quays, pile work, construction of two new mooring dolphins, dredging, semi-automatic mooring and shore-to-ship electricity conection. There are also plans to relocate- and expand line-up and parking areas.
