Port of Karlshamn Inaugurates New Ferry Route to Gdańsk with the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Sweden in Attendance

The Port of Karlshamn invites members of the media to attend the inauguration of the new ferry route between Karlshamn and Gdańsk on Wednesday, 12 August. The inauguration marks the opening of a new direct connection between Sweden and Poland and represents an important step forward for trade, logistics, travel and cooperation across the Baltic Sea.

The new ferry route with Polsca strengthens Karlshamn's role as an international transport hub and contributes to the development of a new corridor for freight, passengers and business exchange between Sweden and Poland.

Inaugural remarks will be delivered by H.E. Karolina Ostrzyniewska, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Kingdom of Sweden; Piotr Redmerski of Polsca; Magnus Gärdebring, Chair of the Municipal Executive Board of Karlshamn Municipality; Mats Olausson, Chairman of the Board of the Port of Karlshamn and Caroline Säfström, Chief Executive Officer of the Port of Karlshamn.

Media representatives are requested to gather no later than 11:40 a.m. at the decorative anchor located just south of the Port of Karlshamn headquarters, outside the port fence, where representatives from the Port of Karlshamn will meet and escort media representatives to the inauguration site within the port area.
